About Me
My name is Yu Wu (Charles), or in Chinese characters 吴羽, and I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science and Informatics from New York University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have extensive experience and skills in the field of data science and analysis, proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and familiar with tools like Git and Linux. I have a solid foundation in data cleaning, data visualization, and machine learning.
I am currently working as a Product Data Analyst at Waymo, where I focus on developing and optimizing business metrics, conducting data analysis, and creating visualizations. Prior to this, I worked as a Data Scientist at InCitu and Ericsson, where I gained substantial project experience. I also served as a Research Assistant at the NYU Game Innovation Lab, where I contributed to game level generation and reinforcement learning model research.
In my work, I emphasize optimizing business processes and improving efficiency through data analysis. I enjoy solving complex problems and am dedicated to creating value for the company through data-driven decisions. I believe that through continuous learning and practice, I can continue to grow in the field of data science and bring more innovation and breakthroughs to my team and company.
